Parents and Schools in Partnership

Enhancing School Improvement and Student Achievement through Collaboration

The first book in a planned series, Parents and Schools in Partnership responds to the growing call for partnership-based involvement in schools as a means to enhance student academic achievement. In today’s rapidly evolving educational landscape, schools can no longer operate in isolation but must instead draw on the school and wider community to meet their goals.

Drawing on extensive research in school improvement and parental involvement, and the author’s own experiences, this book illustrates the powerful impact of fostering genuine partnerships that enable students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

At a time when accountability is at the heart of education reform, school-community collaboration is increasingly recognized as an essential approach for improving education quality. Featuring insights from leading education experts, this book offers an integrated review of perspectives on how parental involvement influences student outcomes. Practical strategies for meaningful collaboration are provided for schools and parents to overcome barriers and ensure that all students can reach their full potential.

Whether you are an educator, school leader, or parent, Parents and Schools in Partnership equips you with the tools, knowledge, and inspiration needed to forge strong, enduring partnerships that benefit students, teachers, and the wider community.
